ADAPT Program

It all begins Right Here, Right Now Recovery Pointe's Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program for Teens (ADAPT) is for adolescents (age 13-17 years).

Adolescents enrolled in ADAPT have been referred parents, schools, clergy, police, schools, and other local agencies due to possession of marijuana/paraphernalia, petty theft, disorderly conduct, trespassing, use/abuse of illegal and/or prescription drugs, and use of alcohol under age 21. Additional reasons for referral include difficult peer relationships, defiance, school problems, and low self-esteem.

The program consists of a single two-hour interactive education session providing an opportunity for adolescents to learn factual information on the effects, the outcomes, and consequences of using or abusing alcohol and/or other drugs.

Recovery Pointe's ADAPT program also provides teens an opportunity to have an open discussion about how drugs have impacted their lives, and the lives of their friends or family.

Each student will recieve an ADAPT Workbook and appropriate supplemental handouts to take home with them.

If your current situation has you concerned enough that you are exploring the possiblity of seeking help for your teen - it’s time. If now is not the time, ask yourself: "How much worse will it have to get before you are willing to act?"
