Family Court Assessments
We don't assume a person seeking an assessment suffers from alcoholism or any other addiction. Our alcohol and drug assessments, also known as screenings or evaluations, consist of a structured interview and a brief diagnostic test to determine if a problem exists.If a problem does exist we base our recommendations on guidelines established by the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
Assessment Components:
- A comprehensive structured interview session with a member of our clinical staff.
- Collateral information is also required from at least four individuals close to the client.
- Urinalysis testing at the time of the assessment.
- An accurate, substantive, and brief Standardized testing instrument to aid in the identification of substance use disorders.
- Outcomes mapped to the American Society of Addiction Medicines placement criteria to determine the most appropriate level of care.
